Finally control your weight loss.
If you’re struggling to lose weight, you might be feeling a lot of guilt. Is this your fault? Where did you go wrong? These questions are common, but they’re not healthy.
Here in Jacksonville, we have the privilege of living in a wealthy nation with an abundance of food. Most of us don’t have to worry where our next meal is coming from or if we’ll have enough to feed our family. That means many of us eat more than we need to, and that turns into weight gain. If left unchecked, this transforms into health problems down the road.
Once you begin gaining weight, it’s hard to lose. This leads to a distressing cycle of gaining weight and keeping it on or losing the weight temporarily and gaining it back.
I’m here to tell you that it isn’t your fault.
To simply say you’re gaining weight because you fail to eat enough vegetables, or you’re too busy to make it to the gym, just isn’t true. The human body is much more complex than that. There is no one-size-fits-all answer to why your body gains weight the way it does.
Your weight gain is deeper than you think.
If you’ve ever asked anyone for weight loss advice or spent some time on the internet, you’ve probably heard the generic answer of “eat well and exercise more.”
While there’s undoubtedly validity to the benefit of a healthy diet and exercise plan, the reality is no always so black and white. A lot of weight gain can be attributed to your hormones. These chemical receptors do a lot of things in your body, but they also regulate your feelings of hunger throughout the day and how your body burns calories.
Everyone has different hormonal levels. That means some people are prone to burn more fat faster while others might watch their diet carefully but still struggle to lose weight. Things like medications and even everyday substances like toothpaste have an effect on our hormones, potentially altering the way our body stores fat.
Heal your body from the inside out.
It’s not fair to say someone struggling with their weight needs to simply eat less. These one-size-fits-all solutions are the backbone of fad diets, and it’s why they don’t work as a long-term solution.
The only way to target the root of your weight gain problem is to find a personal solution. Our Lifetime Wellness Program is designed with this in mind. We understand everyone’s body reacts differently to hormones and outside influences. We use a variety of technology and tools to analyze the processes of your body from the inside out.
